2024 Congressional Art Competition

The 2024 Congressional Art Competition is officially underway, and Congresswoman Terri Sewell's office is accepting submissions from high school students until Friday, April 26, 2024.

This year's theme is Alabama Story Makers: The Historic People and Places of the Cotton State.

Whether you submit a drawing, painting, photograph, or even a mixed-media design, they encourage you to use your imagination and let your creativity shine!

The winner will be chosen by a panel of expert judges and will receive free round-trip airfare for two to Washington D.C. to attend an official reception. Not only that, but their artwork will be proudly displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building for one whole year.

To enter the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit the Congresswoman's website for a full list of guidelines.
  2. Print and complete your 2024 Submission Packet.
  3. Drop off your artwork and completed submission packet at one of the Congresswoman's district offices OR bring them to your school and call (334) 262-1919 to have someone from my office pick them up.
