Evangelistic Outreach Ministry

Chairman: Reverend Theodore Sanders

Mission Statement

As members of the general mission we are obligated to reach out to those who need to hear the gospel of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. It is incumbent upon us therefore to reach out in every way possible to do our very best to reach the lost and disenfranchised with the word of truth. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has worked so tirelessly to fulfill the mandate of service to our community.

Our pastor has charged us with the responsibility to reach out to those less fortunate than we. We must continue to be diligent in our effort to reach out to this neighborhood in a way that is obedient to the command given by Christ himself in Matthew 28:19-20.  Consistent with that command is the work that has been done in this arena with regard to the neighborhood outreach.  We go out the second and fourth Saturday of each month at 10 AM and appeal to those who may be disenfranchised. We must continue to be diligent in our efforts to reach out to the lost. It is our duty to perform this work that has been assign to us.

Again we must continue to reach out to the young men at the Air Base correctional facility.  We visit these youth every Sunday on a rotational three month on, three month off schedule. There has been remarkable progress made in the area of lost souls coming to Christ.

There is no way that we can know what real tangible effects our visits have on those who are the recipients of this ministry. It has been our experience that the final results may not be known in some cases for ten or fifteen years.

We labor therefore under the belief that as we minister God gives the increase.  There is therefore a great need for workers in this vineyard; workers both male and female. There is so much more that can be accomplished with just a few more hands and feet. God’s work will be accomplished, the question is be whom and at what cost.  The poet has said, “the Lord has need of workers to till the fields today, so kindly He has led me to walk in wisdom’s way; I pray for grace to help me with all my heart to say, O blessed savior count on me.”

The harvest truly is great but the laborers are few. I am herein appealing for your help in our efforts to accomplish great things for the Lord.  If there is anyone who has a friend or relative that you are encouraging to attend worship services, give us their phone number and address so that we can help you. When you have their permission for us to visit them, we will go to those persons prayerfully to reinforce your witness.
